I am a Massage Therapist provider for several different medical health plans providing discounts on only massage therapy sessions, not treatments.  I provide discounts to the members of the following:

   Independent Health has the Flex Fit Select Program with three unique options – Active, Family, & Independent.  All three options receive 20% discount on body massage sessions.  Only does the Independent option provide a $250 benefit that may be used to pay for massage therapy services. With a reimbursement form & receipt provided by the LMT, they receive 50% back until they have exhausted this benefit.  After that, they are given the 20% discount. Other members not in the Flex Fit Select Program receive a 20% discount. Check out the web site @ www.independenthealth.com

   Lifetime Health members through the Members Reward Program present their ID card for verification as a member to Univera Health Care or Senior Choice to receive the 20% discount off massage therapy sessions only.  No forms are required to receive this discount. Lifestyle Benefit members receive the coverage for massage therapy sessions up to a $300 limit. This does require a receipt & reimbursement form from the LMT.   Wyoming County employees now receive massage therapy through their plan paying only a co-payment of $8 for each ½ hour session.   I am also listed as a provider through Prism Health Network.  Members through Blue Cross/Blue Shield of WNY Traditional Blue Plan only pay a $8 or $10 co-payment for massage therapy.  These are Erie County & Erie Community College employees, NFTA & NFTA METRO employees & anyone retired from positions through Erie County & NFTA.  Niagara County employees in the Flexcare, Inc. group now offers discounts & low co-payment for their body massage sessions. Now as of 2006, Town of Cheektowaga employees can receive the benefit of massage through their plan without direct payment to LMT, but after the LMT sends in proper reimbursement forms you have signed, the LMT will receive payment. As of 2007, Aqua Health and Wellness Program is new to some companies and can be used here at this location. Depending on coverage, Individual or Family, the total maximum allowance toward massage therapy differs per calendar year. A discount of 25% off is given to members through regular plans of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of WNY/Community Blue/Traditional Blue.
